The MPIL announces the second workshop of the Max Planck Trialogues of the Law on Peace and War. The workshop will deal with the applicability of international humanitarian law (IHL).
The workshop takes a holistic perspective and tackles the applicability in terms of its scope ratione materiae, personae, and temporis. The workshop will also address new forms of conflict such as hybrid war and deal with the applicable legal regimes (IHL & human rights) as well as their overlap and possible conflicts.
