On 17 – 18 April 2015, Bocconi University of Milan will host, for the first time in the history of the Telders International Moot Court Competition, the International Friendly Round, providing to teams not enjoying a national round a chance to practice their arguments. Eight teams have confirmed their participation.

The Friendly will be preceded, on 16 April, at 11 am, by a panel of three international speakers that, moderated by Professor Giorgio Sacerdoti, will address issues of international economic law. Prof. Emily Lydgate (University of Sussex) will focus on international trade law, speaking of “The WTO perspective on ‘local’ as an intrinsic value”; Prof. Makane-Moïse Mbengue (University of Geneva) and Ms. Natasa Lalatovic (Schönherr Law Firm) will focus on international investment law, speaking respectively of “Cap and Kilic, how the same can be different”, and “Intra-EU BITs and the ECT: an intimate disconnection?”. Attendance is open and free of charge.
