Joanne Scott is Professor of European Law at the European University Institute Florence and Co-Director of the Academy of European Law. She is also Professor of European Law at University  College London (on leave until 2022). She taught previously at the Universities of Cambridge, Queen Mary and Kent and has been a visiting professor at Columbia and Harvard Law Schools. She was elected as a Fellow of the British Academy in 2013. Joanne’s main areas of interest are environmental law including international environmental law and EU external relations. She also maintains an interest in WTO law. She is the co-editor of a forthcoming book on The Extraterritorial Reach of EU Law: EU Law Beyond EU Borders (OUP, with Marise Cremona).
