The Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies is organising a conference on ‘Member State Responsibility and International Organizations: Recent Developments’, to be held on 3 – 4 December 2014.This conference is an ESIL-sponsored event. 

This international conference takes place within the framework of a research project funded by the Flemish Research Foundation (FWO-Vlaanderen). Against the backdrop of the International Law Commission’s work on international responsibility, the conference seeks to capture current developments in the law and practice of the international responsibility of Member States of international organizations.

The conference features high-level panels, including international practitioners and renowned academics in the field of international institutional law, such as, Prof. Dr. Niels Blokker (University of Leiden), Prof. Dr. Jean d’Aspremont (University of Manchester), Dr. Catherine Brölmann (University of Amsterdam), Dr. Aurel Sari (University of Exeter), Mr. Roberto Rando (European Investment Bank), Dr. Esa Paasivirta (European Commission), Dr. Antonios Tzanakopoulos (University of Oxford), Prof. Dr. André Nollkaemper (University of Amsterdam), Prof. Dr. Paolo Palchetti (University of Macerata) and Dr. Francesco Messineo (University of Kent).

Conference venue: Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe, Janseniusstraat 1, Leuven.
