times of Normative Contestation
08–10 June 2026, University of Innsbruck, Austria
From 8 to 10 June 2026, the University of Innsbruck will host the international conference “Teaching International Human Rights Law,” directed by Prof. Peter Hilpold, University of Innsbruck and Pavia, in cooperation with Prof. Ivo Hajnal, Vera Dietl, BA MA MA, Prof. Giuseppe Nesi, and Prof. Stefania Baroncelli.

The event is open to academics and students alike. It will focus both on academic research on the teaching of international human rights law and on practical experience, including innovative tools developed in this field.
Key themes include “Teaching Human Rights in Times of Conflict”, “International Criminal Law and Transitional Justice”, “Defending Academic Freedom”, “Minority Protection”, and “Digital Transformation”.
