International Conference ‘The European Union in the International Society and its Contribution to International Dispute Settlement Systems’

Santander (Spain), 17-18 March 2016.

Topics:  

1. The contribution of the European Union to the peaceful settlement of disputes: the establishment of the EU’s dispute settlement system and its influence on other regional systems.

2. The European Union participation in international dispute settlement mechanisms, arbitral or judicial in character. 

3. The relationship between the Court of Justice of the European Union and other international tribunals, with special emphasis on its relationship with the European Court of Human Rights.

4. The European Union as a global actor and its contribution to the resolution of disputes in the political, diplomatic and military areas.

All those interested in presenting a paper on any of the items listed or other related should send their proposal by January 8, 2016.
