The book analyses whether a state may be held responsible for environmental damage resulting from its wrongful conduct in international armed conflict covering war and occupation, under international humanitarian and environmental law mainly, in addition to international human rights and water law. It examines two cases of damage to land, sea and air pollution in the Israel-Hezbollah war in Lebanon in 2006 and the fate of land, water and quarries in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
