The Stockholm Centre for International Law and Justice (SCILJ) is organizing a one-day ESIL-supported symposium in honour of Ambassador Marie Jacobsson, former member of the ILC, who has recently retired from a long and distinguished career at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The theme of the symposium is “Security and the Formation and Application of International Law”. Its purpose is to explore the interplay between international law, policy and concrete decisions in the field of security.

The symposium will take place on 24 January 2024 in a hybrid format – both in situ in Stockholm (Aula Magna) and via Zoom.
