ABOUT THE EVENT
“A Chat with the Author” is an online discussion series dedicated to exploring new scholarship that expands how we understand international law through critical perspectives. Each session centres on a recently published piece of work, introduced by its author, and followed by an open conversation.
The aim is to create a collaborative space for collective thinking, reflective engagement, and the shared development of ideas. Through these exchanges, the organisers seek to foster community within international law and encourage thoughtful conversations across disciplinary perspectives.
The series is open to all, and we particularly welcome ESIL members to join us in these conversations.
The first chat, taking place online via Zoom, is scheduled for 20 January 2026 at 10:00 CET with Dr Ntina Tzouvala, Associate Professor at UNSW Sydney, who will introduce her recent piece, “Critical International Law amongst the Ruins.” it is highly recommended to read the text in advance as the event intends to be a conversation rather than a presentation.
