A new volume of the ESIL Series, titled “The Protection of General Interests in Contemporary International Law“, has now been published. The editors are Massimo Iovane, Fulvio M. Palombino, Daniele Amoroso, and Giovanni Zarra. More information can be found on the Oxford University Press website.

This volume provides a general overview of the protection of general interests in contemporary international law, it includes detailed analysis of three key concepts: global public goods, global commons, and fundamental values and explores the areas of law where the protection of general interests is a particularly urgent need to be addressed, such as human rights, environmental protection, and international peace and security.
