ESIL symposium in Bucharest- videos and report
Perspectives on International and Domestic Law
On Thursday 26 September 2013, ESIL together with EMA (European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation) and EUIC (European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation) organised a symposium about international and domestic law in Bucharest. The event, which was supported by several Romanian institutions, including the Constitutional Court of Romania, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, and the University of Bucharest took place at the Library of the Romanian Academy in Bucharest.
All panelists are listed in the PROGRAMME.pdf
With over 80 registered participants from all over Romania and 12 speakers, the symposium can be considered a great success, both for the Society and the Romanian organizers, the European Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratization. The two co-chairs, ESIL President Laurence Boisson de Chazournes and Iulia Motoc of the University of Bucharest, encouraged the audience to engage the speakers, and there was a long conversation on some of the most pressing issues of international law.
