The Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law is happy to share the brochure for the 2017 Program of Advanced Studies on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
The Program will take place from May 30 to June 16, 2017 and offers 20 courses in English and Spanish taught by more than 40 world-renowned scholars in the field of human rights and humanitarian law.
Venue: Academy on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, American University Washington College of Law, Washington DC.
Professors include Special Rapporteurs from the United Nations, Commissioners, Judges and other members of the Inter-American Commission and Court of Human Rights, Judges from International Tribunals like the ICC, ICJ and ICTY and professors from all over the world. The program provides a unique opportunity to interact directly with these high profile officials who are rarely available in such a personal setting.
The course is open to lawyers, law students and human rights activists of any country. We welcome over 150 participants from more than 25 countries around the world, all with varying levels and areas of professional experience in human rights, providing an excellent networking opportunity.
