Every year, C.I.R.D.E., in cooperation with the Law School of the Strasbourg University, the Centre for European Law of King’s College London and the Centro Residenziale Universitario di Bertinoro (Ce.U.B.), and with the financial support of the Fondazione Cassa dei Risparmi di Forlì, organises a Summer School on The Protection of Fundamental Rights in Europe.
The Summer School aims to provide graduates, practitioners and young researchers (Ph.D. candidates) with an in depth background of the protection of fundamental rights at European level. The general courses are on the European Convention on Human Rights, and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. The single modules tackle topics like asylum and migration, EU citizenship, the relationship between the CJEU and the ECHR, the margin of appreciation doctrine, constitutional transitions and religious freedom.
The course is held in French and English. Students must be fluent in both languages.
The deadline for submission of applications is 12 June 2019.
