ESIL Monograph Prize

The 2024 European Society of International Law Monograph Prize jury has unanimously decided to award this year’s prize to Arianna Whelan for her book Reciprocity in Public International Law, published by Cambridge University Press. Read more here.

The 2024 European Society of International Law Collaborative Book Prize jury has unanimously decided to award this year’s prize to Immi Tallgren for her book  Portraits of Women in International Law, published by Oxford University Press. Read more here.

ESIL Early-Career Scholar Prize

The 2024 European Society of International Law Early-Career Scholar Prize jury has unanimously decided to award this year’s prize to Denise Koecke, law student at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, for the paper Merging Man and Machine: A Legal Assessment of Brain-Computer Interfaces in Armed Conflict, delivered on Wednesday 4 September 2024 at the pre-conference workshop “Posthumanism, Technology, and Peace and Security”, organised by the ESIL Interest Group on Peace and Security.
