Congress of the Canadian Council on International Law
The conference will take place at 111 Sussex Drive in Ottawa on November 2-3, 2017, with a special opening event the evening of November 1st at the University of Ottawa.
This year’s conference theme – Canada at 150: The Return of History for International Law – will encourage discussion and analysis on the impact on international law and Canada’s place as the institutions of the international order are increasingly challenged by powerful states, populist movements and other actors.
This year’s keynote speakers are the Honourable Charles N. Brower and Professor Dinah Shelton. Professor Armand de Mestral is the award keynote and will receive the John E. Read Medal
