Le Prix de la SEDI 2012 a été remis au Dr Michael Waibel, Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, Université de Cambridge, pour son ouvrage Sovereign Defaults before International Courts and Tribunals publié en mai 2011 aux éditions Cambridge University Press.

Les membres du jury, Eyal Benvenisti, Jutta Brunnée and Francesco Francioni, ont octroyé le prix à l’unanimité : “A remarkable book – to our knowledge, it is the first comprehensive and systematic treatment of this subject. The book combines historical analysis with careful research of case law and other practice. The result is an impressive and original treatment of a subject that is of the utmost relevance for the present state of the international economic system.”

Le prix a été remis lors du dîner de gala de la 5ème Conférence biennale de la SEDI à Valence en septembre 2012.
