Ganna Yudkivska

Graduated from the Law Faculties of the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University (Ukraine) and Université Strasbourg III (France).

Assistant Professor in International Law at Leiden University, where he teaches public international law and international dispute settlement.

Giulio Bartolini

Professor of international law at Roma Tre University, where he is also Director of the IHL Legal Clinic, and lecturer at the Geneva Academy. Director Centre for Studies and Research/Hague Academy (2024).

Edouard Fromageau

Senior Lecturer in International Economic Law at the School of Law of the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom.

Patryk Labuda

Assistant professor of international law and international relations at Central European University and a researcher on the ‘Memocracy’ project at the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Gleider Hernández

Professor of Public International Law at the Catholic University of Leuven. Previously, he was part-time Professor at the Open Universiteit (2018-2022), and lectured (leaving as Reader) at Durham Law School (2011-2018).

Armando Rocha

Professor of Law at Católica|Lisbon School of Law and Invited Professor at the Université Catholique de Lille.

Silvia Steininger

Postdoctoral Researcher at the Hertie School’s Centre for Fundamental Rights Berlin and a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law Heidelberg.

Arnulf Becker Lorca

Professor of Public International Law at the University of Málaga and Newnham College Fellow (Cambridge).

Patrycja Grzebyk

Dr. Hab. Iur., Associate Professor, University of Warsaw. Her main research interests focus on International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal law, Use of Force and the role of international courts.

Machiko Kanetake

Academic Director of the T.M.C. Asser Institute and a Professor of International Law and Security Governance at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Her research interests lie at the intersection of security and human rights.

Federica Paddeu

Associate Professor in Law and Derek Bowett Fellow at Queens’ College, Cambridge, and fellow of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law.

Ana Salinas

Professor of Public International Law at the University of Málaga and Newnham College Fellow (Cambridge).

The Executive Committee of the Society consists of the President, three Vice-Presidents, and the Secretary-General, with administrative assistance from the ESIL Secretariat staff.
In line with Article 14 of the Articles of Association, the following members have been co-opted to the Board: Arnulf Becker Lorca is co-opted as the person responsible for liaison with the European University Institute and Armando Rocha is co-opted as the local organiser of the Annual Conference in Lisbon in September 2027.
