Call for Abstracts
Yearbook of International Disaster Law | Volume No. 8 (2025)
(published by Brill)
Deadline for submissions: 6 March 2026
The Yearbook of International Disaster Law (Brill) is inviting submission of abstracts for Issue 8 (2025). The Yearbook includes both a “General” section and a “Thematic” section.
The General Section of the Yearbook provides an opportunity to interrogate a wide variety of aspects of the intersection of law and disasters, with a particular focus on issues relevant for international law.
The Thematic Section will focus on “Vulnerabilities and Disasters”. Moving from the assumption that understanding vulnerability is crucial for developing effective disaster risk management laws and policies, authors are encouraged to submit abstracts for analysis on international legal implications related to the factors making people, communities, or systems susceptible to harm from hazards.
Key Information:
- Abstracts (300-500 words) for the ‘General’ and ‘Thematic’ sections should be sent by 6th March 2026 to info@yearbookidl.org.
