Conference on ‘EU Responsibility in the International System Setting the Stage’
The Kalliopi Koufa Foundation for the Promotion of International and Human Rights Law organizes, in the framework of the EURIS Jean Monnet Project, a conference on “EU Responsibility in the International System: Setting the Stage”, in collaboration with the Hellenic Branch of the International Law Association. The conference will be held online on Friday, 14 May 2021 (15:30-21:00 EET). The event is supported by the Law Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
The conference aims at exploring the issue of EU responsibility/liability from the perspective of both international and EU law, identifying the points of convergence and divergence between the various responsibility regimes that are applicable to the EU and dissecting the legal concepts upon which EU responsibility is (or should be) premised.
Dr. Esa Paasivirta (Legal Service, European Commission) will deliver the keynote speech.
