Echoing historic asymmetries and marginalisation of parts of Europe in international law, ESIL’s coverage and membership has been uneven across the continent.

The Task Force on Underrepresentation and Membership aims to conduct outreach to underrepresented populations, notably in Eastern Europe, in order to integrate their perspectives into the Society’s work, develop longer-term partnerships with local institutions, and grow the Society’s membership for the future.
