2022 FAO Law Lecture – Legal reflections by Prof. Philippe Sands
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is pleased to announce its upcoming 2022 FAO Law Lecture: Legal reflections on “Leave no one behind. Better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life”. It will be delivered by Professor Philippe Sands on Monday, 31 October 2022, from 14:00 to 15:30 CET.
This is the inaugural event of a new series of annual Law Lectures the FAO is launching, celebrating the annual World Food Day, which commemorates the establishment of FAO. The aim is to provide a forum in which experts can reflect and share their thoughts on legal aspects of FAO’s mandate, including from a general public international law perspective.
The Lecture will be delivered virtually, with interpretation in all official FAO languages (Arabic, English, Spanish, French, Russian and Chinese) and will conclude with a Question & Answer (Q&A) session. Further information on the event and to register are available through the links below.
