Call for Papers | SMU-Fudan Workshop “Asian Cities and the International Legal Order”
The SMU-Fudan Workshop on “Asian Cities and the International Legal Order” will take place 10–11 July 2025 at Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University (hybrid format: in-person + Zoom).
Workshop Synopsis:
This workshop seeks to examine the role of major Asian cities in the international legal order from three dimensions:
- the challenges of urbanisation;
- the impact of Asian cities on the international legal order; and
- the role of cities as a transnational actor.
Call for Papers:
Submissions of abstracts (max. 250 words) are welcome on topics related to law and sustainability. Please email your abstract to lawandsustainability@smu.edu.sg by 30 April 2025. Successful applicants will be notified by 7 May 2025 and will be required to submit a working paper (6,000–8,000 words) by 30 June 2025 for discussion at the workshop.
Selected papers may be considered for publication in a special issue of a prominent peer-reviewed journal. For further details, please refer to the call for papers.
