The Utrecht School of Law will offer its Summer School on Introduction to Public International Law, from 8 July to 12 July 2024. This Summer School provides participants with general tenets and fundamental rules of international law, its sources and its subjects, jurisdiction, state responsibility, and dispute settlement. Present-day challenges of global interest, such as climate change, global inequality, and modern armed conflicts will be discussed. There will also be time to reflect on the capacity of international law to deal with these challenges, and accommodate actors traditionally not considered subjects of international law (armed groups, corporations, individuals, et cetera). Further information about the Summer School can be found here.
